Reactions to the Chauvin verdict from West Virginia politicians and Fox News
With 4/22 update
How did WV’s elected officials respond to the decision in the Chauvin case?
There was nothing in today’s Ogden papers about their reaction and so I did some research. I could not find any response to the Chauvin verdict by our Republican House members: Mooney, Miller, and McKinley. Likewise, our Republican senator, Shelley Moore . . .

WV AG Morrisey update
Thank-you. I’ll sleep better tonight knowing that you are protecting our state from Joe Biden
We live in unprecedented times. Much insecurity about our future.
Here’s what I’m focusing on:
WVAG is preparing to save our state & the republic from destructive and illegal regulations that may emerge from the Biden Administration. . . .

What has West Virginia's Attorney General been doing lately?
Yes, Mr. AG, we need to oppose the lunatics who encourage violence
From Wednesday:
We should penalize those who breached the Capitol and broke our laws today to the fullest extent possible.
We are a Republic and must oppose the lunatics who resort to violence to achieve their ends.
Focus, people. What happened today is not okay . . .

Breaking news: West Virginia Republicans embrace frivolous lawsuits!
Is it a sign of the apocalypse? What’s next? Undoing “right-to-work” laws? Paying teachers and other state workers a living wage? Never mind, it’s about the Party’s unswerving loyalty to Donald Trump
The Rucker quote neatly states the West Virginia Republican Party’s (along with its messenger - the Wheeling Intelligencer) long-term justification for tort reform. (For more examples, type “West Virginia” and “frivolous lawsuits” into a search engine and see how many hits and how far back the search goes.)

This fight is not over. President Trump will continue to fight for us, and we will continue to fight for him. The American people are entitled to an honest election. We must ensure every legal vote must be counted. We must investigate any allegations of fraud. pic.twitter.com/DrAcKkZu9e

Because that’s what they do in the middle of a pandemic
Last evening, the Trump administration (with the help of Republican state attorney generals) filed to overturn and invalidate Obamacare
What happened?
From NPR earlier today:
In a filing with the U.S. Supreme Court, the Trump administration has reaffirmed its position that the Affordable Care Act in its entirety is illegal because Congress eliminated the individual tax penalty for failing to purchase medical insurance.
