News from the WV Trump Party
Following-up* on the WV governor debate
In the debate, the current secretary of state, Mac Warner, claimed that the 2020 presidential election was stolen by the CIA:

Warner blames the CIA and he wasn’t alone among the gubernatorial candidates in questioning the validity of the 2020 election:
Businessman Chris Miller, son of Congresswoman Carol Miller, when asked if the election was stolen responded “possibly.” House Judiciary Chairman Moore Capito, son of U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito, would only say that West Virginia elections were secure and would go no farther.
A fourth gubernatorial candidate, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, who did not attend the debate, signed West Virginia on to a 2020 federal lawsuit that sought to invalidate election results in Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The U.S. Supreme Court dismissed it for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution.
Reporter Brad McElhinny’s article is excellent.
Reaction to Trump becoming dictator if elected
Trump on becoming dictator:
WATCH: “He’s NOT joking — and if he is, it isn’t funny. Trump has been telling us what he’s going to do, in detail. It should make every American’s blood run cold.” @CapehartJ rightly admonishes @nytdavidbrooks for downplaying Trump admitting he plans to be a dictator. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/gLNEdpHIYH

(Sorry folks, if you believe it was just a joke, I have a bridge down in Benwood that I can sell you for next to nothing.)
And here’s the reaction of Mike Stuart, one of the Republican candidates to replace Patrick Morrisey as WV state attorney general:
When Attorney General, I plan to be a “dictator for just one day” when I order my team to do all in our power to “drill, frack and mine” the beautiful energy under our feet, begin a deep dive on the CPS system, and make “expanding freedom” our priority. @WVGOP

Shouldn’t the person running to become West Virginia’s next chief legal officer be appalled at Trump’s comment regardless of its seriousness. Even worse, Mike Stuart as AG would implement a similar action in West Virginia. Apparently, Stuart, not unlike the current AG, Patrick Morrisey, doesn’t have any problem endorsing the actions of a man facing 87 felony counts.
*If a debate is held and the Ogden political reporter is on vacation, does it really count? There was no coverage from Ogden Newspapers of the Republican gubernatorial debate. Apparently, no one in Ogden’s West Virginia newspaper group is capable of this type of reporting.
