"Diverse?" Did a Trump lawyer recently use that word with “West Virginia” in the same sentence?
You may have heard that Trump’s lawyers want to see Donald Trump's case moved to West Virginia:
Trump lawyer John Lauro on CBS: "We would like a diverse venue, a diverse jury ... I think West Virginia will be an excellent venue to try this case. Close to DC and a much more diverse--" pic.twitter.com/ib6S2Mdd7l

"Diverse"? According to the U.S. Census, here are some statistics about West Virginia's diversity:
White alone 92.8%
Black or African American alone 3.7%
American Indian and Alaska Native alone 0.3%
Asian alone 0.9%
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander alone Z
Two or More Races 2.2%
Hispanic or Latino 2.1%
And here is West Virginia's top legal official agreeing. (As Aaron Rupar points out, those certainly are some interesting Trump comparisons.)

Speaking of Morrisey, in the second clip below, Morrisey at a Trump rally in 2018, demonstrates the kind of impartiality and fairness that we've come to expect from West Virginia’s top legal official:
On same day Trump's campaign chairman was convicted of crimes and his former lawyer pleaded guilty of crimes while implicating the president in them, Trump supporters break out in "lock her up!" chants. pic.twitter.com/2a3HgleQal

Morrisey cheers as the crowd chants "lock her up." And this man is WV's Attorney General?
