As you probably know, Robert Murray, CEO of Murray Energy, filed a defamation suit against John Oliver and HBO for a segment on his show, "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver," did a couple of weeks ago on coal that featured Murray. (You can watch it here). Earlier this week, the West Virginia ACLU filed an amicus brief in the case. . . .

Early this morning, the United States Senate rejected an attempt by Republicans to repeal major portions of Obamacare. The vote was 51-49 with Republicans McCain, Murkowski and Collins joining all Democrats to defeat the bill.
