House on summer recess until September 5
Here is the town hall meeting map for West Virginia's congressmen
With the House of Representatives in recess for over a month,I went to Town Hall Project to see when and where my local congressman (David McKinley) would be holding his next town hall meeting with his constituents. I typed in my zip code (26003) and here is the screen shot of what came up:

Obamacare to Trumpcare
From today's Intelligencer: a collection of half-truths, no truths, and disingenuousness (a typical Saturday opinion page)
The lead editorial implores the Republicans to keep fighting to replace Obamacare
Of course we learn (without evidence) in the editorial how Obamacare is universally hated, "choking" state budgets, and has all sorts of horror stories that everyone (including Democrats) have heard. That's what the editorial tells us but . . .

The Intelligencer spins Capito’s vote

Today’s lead editorial in the Wheeling Intelligencer tells us "Capito,Portman Priorities Right"because, as the editorial sees it, they do what’s best for their constituents rather than what is best for the Republican Party.
To support the premise, the editorial describes some of their critics:
One television . . .
Journalism on the cheap
Ogden Newspapers' business plan
A lot of what I write about on this blog deals with Wheeling's newspapers' right-wing Republican agenda that permeates the paper beyond the editorial page where it belongs. To that end, I often analyze and document the non-editorial page stories they choose not to carry as well as those they do. While I seldom note their ineptitude on . . .
