An AP story you won't see in the Wheeling "newspapers"
From the AP: "Feeling the Heat: Earth in July Was Hottest Month on Record"
Earth just keeps getting hotter. July was the planet's warmest month on record, smashing old marks, U.S. weather officials said.

Funding community programs to fight heroin
Blame (but no praise) for the White House
Earlier in the week the federal government announced grants for community programs to combat the increased use of heroin. As reported by WTRF and a number of other West Virginia media outlets:
The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) granted additional funding for West Virginia’s designated High Intensity . . .
I'll ask again -- which side are you on, Intelligencer?
I have argued (most recently here) that the Intelligencer is not pro-coal, it's pro-coal owner. The title for Saturday's anti-Obama, pro-coal-owner editorial in the Intelligencer was "Stop Obama Power Grab." Regular readers of Wheeling "newspapers" probably know that . . .
They're out to get us, but "we let them get away with it"-- Myer mails in another column
Saturday's Michael Myer column, "We Let Them Get Away With It," is ostensibly about Senator Capito's bill to limit the EPA actions on coal but it's just another predictable attack on liberals with the usual suspects and the same lack of developed arguments.
The column's targets include the president and . . .
