WV’s senatorial candidates have it all wrong – we don’t need another “outsider” who will shake-up (or blow-up in Morissey’s case) Washington
What West Virginia needs is another “insider” like Robert C. Byrd
This post was prompted by an excellent essay in the Washington Post:
Stop treating voters like idiots. Thanks in advance
by Paul Wildman. Wildman explains:
[O]ur politics is no less dumb than it ever was. I’d like to take a look at one variant of that stupidity, which says that this vaguely defined . . .
New Manchin poll numbers drop
What do you think? I'm looking for comments on a Morning Consult poll that shows Senator Manchin losing 17 points from his January poll numbers
Morning Consult which does a quarterly poll measuring the approval and disapproval numbers for U.S. senators just published their most recent poll. The results are not good for WV Democrat Joe Manchin whose difference between approval and disapproval showed the biggest decline:
Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, who is up for . . .

As Ogden's coverage of McKinley and Manchin demonstrate: it's not about incumbency, it's about party affiliation
The Ogden papers have dropped all pretense of fairness and objectivity

From the New York Times:

In case you missed it: Trump on West Virginia and Joe Manchin
An excerpt from yesterday's Times' interview
Yesterday, President Trump gave an impromptu interview to reporter Michael S. Schmidt of the New York Times at Trump's West Palm Beach golf club. In the rambling interview, Trump briefly discussed Senator Manchin and West Virginia:
SCHMIDT: Tell me about what you were saying that the Democrats. . . . [Inaudible.] . . . Tell . . .
