Trump pledges to commute a convicted drug trafficker
And the silence from the WV Trump Party is matched by the silence from state’s media
Here is Donald Trump at the Libertarian Convention last weekend:

Who is Ross Ulbricht? Here is the story:
Two days after sharing the stage with a gang member out on bond for conspiracy to commit murder, Trump tonight pledges to commute the life sentence of a man convicted of trafficking $183 million in illegal narcotics on the dark web. Story. https://t.co/hapEwHEwTV

From that story:
In addition to promising to pardon J6 defendants who beat police officers, and sharing the stage with 2 gang members currently out on bond for a 140 count indictment including conspiracy to commit murder, Trump finished up the week pledging to commute the sentence of one of the most notorious drug traffickers in American history.
Trump was given a list today by the Libertarian Party of the Top 10 most important issues for delegates attending their National Convention this weekend. The first item on that list was to commute the sentence of Ross Ulbricht.
Ulbricht created the dark web network called Silk Road which was used to traffic narcotics to over 100,000 buyers in hundreds of kilos of a variety of drugs. The drugs sales using Ulbricht's network totaled over $183 million. Ulbricht was convicted at trial of 7 counts of distributing narcotics and was sentenced to two life sentences without the possibility of parole. The Supreme Court refused to hear his final appeal in 2018.
Yes, Trump promised to pardon Ulbricht – most likely to get the Libertarian Party’s endorsement.
Have we heard any reaction from WV’s Trump Party whose candidates regularly blame Joe Biden for West Virginia’s drug problems? We’ve heard nothing. For example, the Trump Party’s successful candidate for governor, Patrick Morrisey, who, when he isn't bragging that he was the first to endorse Trump, never misses an opportunity to blame the president for WV’s fentanyl problem. Similarly, Senator Shelley Moore Capito, routinely accuses the Biden administration for all of America's immigration and drug problems. This even though the Senate’s immigration bill, which dealt with both problems, was killed by Donald Trump.
Finally, don’t expect any reaction from District 2 congressional candidate Riley Moore, who was present at Trump’s announcement to seek the presidency, and who last month received a $713,000 campaign donation from a cryptocurrency lobbyist. Yes, Trump's promise for a pardon appears to be about cryptocurrency. Here is how Bitcoin.com News headlined Trump’s speech:
Donald Trump Pledges to Stop Biden's Anti-Crypto Agenda, Protect Bitcoin, Free Ross Ulbricht
And Bitcoin tells us exactly what Trump's promise entailed:
Presidential candidate and 45th U.S. President Donald Trump has declared support for the crypto sector. “I will also stop Joe Biden’s crusade to crush crypto,” he promised. “I will support the right to self-custody.” He will also “commute the sentence of Ross Ulbricht to a sentence of time served.” Moreover, Trump stressed, “I will keep Elizabeth Warren and her goons away from your bitcoin, and I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency.”
Given crypto’s nearly three quarter of a million-dollar campaign contribution to his campaign, I’m sure Riley Moore can certainly get behind that.
Just dreaming, but wouldn’t it be something if a WV reporter actually asked one of these Trumpites if they agreed with Trump’s promise to pardon a convicted drug trafficker?
