How low can he go?
Republican AG candidate Mike Stuart panders to the WV Trump Party base (with updates)
The Britannica Dictionary defines “pander”:
to do or provide what someone wants or demands even though it is not proper, good, or reasonable
Here is West Virginia AG candidate Mike Stuart:
I’ll be introducing a bill in the State Senate to help Texas fund the cost of razor wire at the border. The open border and fentanyl invasion must end. West Virginians are dying because of the open border. The human toll is real. @WVGOP https://t.co/YpRqWK2rmQ

So, if I understand this correctly, WV state senator Mike Stuart will soon introduce a bill that would use West Virginia tax dollars to help the Texas governor defy a court order. Not that WV doesn’t have more worthy causes, but does WV AG candidate Stuart have any respect for the rule of law?
You’re probably aware that a bi-partisan immigration bill was created in the U.S. Senate:
We've reached an agreement on a bipartisan national security deal that includes the toughest and fairest set of border reforms in decades.

For too long, going back decades, the immigration system has been broken.
Here's how we start to fix it. pic.twitter.com/pdXK0y9rNg
It's not perfect, but it does have bipartisan support including those who deal with it on a daily basis:
The U.S. Border Patrol agents’ union has endorsed the bipartisan Senate proposed bill. Listen when the people who do this for a living tell you it works for them. @BPUnion pic.twitter.com/mgeTjiUpF5

However, Trump is against it:
JUST IN🚨 President Trump just posted this statement on the Border Bill.

Consequently, the bill is dead.
Speaker Mike Johnson already declared the border deal “dead on arrival” in the House.

But Trump allies are trying to smother the bill before it even gets there. They have ~2 days to turn the GOP firmly against it before the Senate takes a first vote. https://t.co/dI4YJthoJE
So, Republicans are finally willing to admit what some have long suspected, that this issue isn't about security -- it's about getting Trump elected. Am I right, Shelley?
Update #1
No word from Shelley but here is her son, predictably:
I stand in opposition to the proposed border bill in Congress. The best solution for West Virginia and America is to push Joe Biden to enforce the laws on the books. The best deal for restoring order at the Southern Border is electing President Trump in November. pic.twitter.com/l3N9bVAQmC

Update #2
From the editorial page of the ultra-liberal Wall Street Journal:
WSJ EDITORIAL BOARD: “.. By any honest reckoning, this is the most restrictive migrant legislation in decades.”@WSJopinion https://t.co/Mq9frsRnTe pic.twitter.com/Kh366QRBUY
