365 days in the year and they chose January 6
I will pass on this one:
Hey! The Harrison County Republican Club is having a J6 Reagan Dinner on Jan 6. If you would like to come I can get you how many ever tickets you would like to have, they are $55 each. Just let me know! The speakers are David McKinley and Carly Braun, both running for Congress. pic.twitter.com/4PtfwyYIE7

Are they going to celebrate the insurrectionists? Why would you hold a Reagan dinner on January 6 – the day of an armed attack against the United States government? It is hard not to see this as further evidence that the WV Republican Party has become the Trump Party. And McKinley is speaking?
Speaking of McKinley
WORKING FOR WEST VIRGINIA: U.S. Rep. David McKinley, R-West Virginia, has shown a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to find ways to help his native state. He's WV News' Statesman of the Year:https://t.co/7s5NkMwADm

Statesman of the Year! If only newspapers could vote, McKinley would win in a landslide.
What Senator Capito really meant is that rules shouldn’t be changed unless Republicans benefit
From the senator, earlier today:
Senator Schumer’s attempt to dismantle the Senate’s rules and procedures is nothing more than a short-sighted power grab.
— Shelley Moore Capito (@SenCapito) January 5, 2022
Changing the rules would be bad for our country and West Virginia, and I strongly oppose it.

Of course, back in 2016, Senator Capito believed that changing what was a Republican-created Supreme Court rule on not approving Supreme Court nominations mere weeks before an election was not a “power grab” because “circumstances had changed.” I guess that explains it.
