Mooney on Metro News claims that McKinley cannot win the primary
This morning, in an interview on Metro News, Mooney told Hoppy Kercheval that he spent time with Trump this past weekend and that he would endorse him. According to Mooney, Trump’s endorsement “seals the deal.” In case we missed his point:
I think this endorsement from President Trump makes it impossible for him to win a primary against me.
(We're in the first inning and Mooney is already claiming that he's won the primary?)
Here is part of that interview:

Club for Growth endorses Mooney
Here is how the Club for Growth describes itself:
we are the only organization that is willing and able to take on any Member of Congress on policy who fails to uphold basic economic conservative principles…regardless of party.
This organization spends lots of money; Open Secrets tells us that they spent $66,334,260 in 2020 mostly against Democrats (but also against Republicans who were not fiscally conservative enough).
The rightwing Club for Growth, folo'g Trump's lead yesterday, today endorsed GOP Rep. Alex Mooney over GOP Rep. David McKinley -- redistricting threw them into the same WV House district -- damning McKinley as one of "13 Republican Betrayers" for backing infrastructure law.
