Washington Post reporters Michelle Boornstein, Shawn Boburg and Robert O'Harrow Jr. have thoroughly described the charges against former Wheeling-Charleston Bishop Michael J. Bransfield. This morning's Wheeling Intelligencer gives us two articles about Bransfield by reporter Linda Comins. The first highlights a few of the revelations in the Post article with little original reporting. The second summarizes the letter to the priests and laity of the local diocese from Archbishop William E. Lori highlighting the findings of the Bransfield investigation. The article also includes reaction from WV Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and Judy Jones, a regional director of a survivors network.
