Here is West Virginia senator, Shelley Moore Capito, explaining her reaction to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine to local channel 9 news:
Senator Shelley Moore Capito told me today that she thinks any new sanctions "could be too little, too late." @WTOV9 https://t.co/CkAB0n0qq2

This echoes Senator Capito’s official response:
We must lead on behalf of our NATO allies and those who cherish freedom to ensure the actions we take prevent a tyrant from overthrowing a free and sovereign democracy. While I believe that President Biden’s words have been ineffective, too late, and too passive for the current situation, we must unify and stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Too ineffective, late and passive compared to what, Senator? When President Trump cozied-up to Putin for the four years of his presidency, you uttered not one word of criticism. When Trump made military aid to the Ukraine contingent upon the Ukraine manufacturing dirt on Hunter Biden, you looked away and didn’t find it impeachable. And I’ve searched and found no response from you, then or now, on the former President’s continual praise for Putin. A day after calling him a genius, here’s his most recent:
A day after Donald Trump called President Vladimir Putin's aggression toward Ukraine "genius" — and hours before the invasion began — Trump again praised the cunning of the Russian leader while lashing out at President Biden. https://t.co/5CPStpH2Rs

Shelley Moore Capito is shameless and as usual, the West Virginia media give her a pass.
