Playing the role of the playground bully is David McKinley (WV – 1)
The congressman reprises his role from last year’s Fauci hearings
Remember last year when our local representative tried to intimidate Dr. Anthony Fauci in a congressional hearing only to have the doctor turn the tables and make the congressman look petty and foolish? (Not everyone agrees with my assessment: our local Republican propaganda outlet, The Wheeling Intelligencer, later told us in an editorial what a great job McKinley had done in questioning the doctor.) Earlier this week, Congressman McKinley was back in his role of the playground bully showing the government’s coronavirus doctors that this is his turf and he’s not going to take any bullshit from them (especially if they are female). Watch below as he tries to intimidate government health officials into admitting that unless every single person in the United States gets the coronavirus vaccine, President Biden is a liar. (Spoiler alert – he doesn’t succeed.)

If you play the video, watch Fauci’s verbal and nonverbal reaction to McKinley’s questions – Fauci does all he can to keep from laughing at McKinley’s ridiculous questions.
Witnesses are important in Congress's role of getting information for its lawmaking function; unfortunately, McKinley is not about fact-finding -- he's about scoring points with the former president and his followers. Finally, I would be embarrassed by this performance but apparently McKinley is proud of it -- in addition to his tweet, there’s also a link to the video on his Facebook page.
