Of course, that’s what they do
WV’s senators wholeheartedly support Donald Trump’s cabinet picks
Senator Shelley Moore Capito
Robert Kennedy for Health and Human Services
From WOWK-TV:
“Coming from a state whose residents live with the impact of chronic diseases more than most, I agree with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that we need to Make America Healthy Again.”
“I look forward to working with him to combat the drug crisis in West Virginia and across the country, make the foods we are eating healthier, improve the transparency of our health care systems, and deliver better health care to more Americans,” said Sen. Capito.
I’m curious, Senator, how do you feel about the return of polio, chickenpox, measles, and a whole host of childhood diseases that will likely make a strong comeback under Kennedy?
Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence
Senator Capito also approved Tulsi Gabbard for DNI despite her lack of experience and numerous controversies surrounding her nomination. For example, here was Capito rationalizing one of them to Fox News, last month:
Republican Senator Capito was on FOX today and said when she privately met with Tulsi Gabbard, she pressed her on that 2017 trip to Syria that came in the wake of a chemical weapons attack carried out by dictator Bashar Al-Assad against civilians. Gabbard told her, she said, that she didn't even know she was going to Syria, that she intended to go to Lebanon on the scheduled visit and ended up in Syria.
(I guess for Capito, it's like when you plan to go to Oglebay Park but somehow end up at the Dairy Queen instead.)
Senator, if you really believe Gabbard on how she ended up in Syria, I have a bridge in Benwood that I can sell you real cheap.
Peter Hegseth for Department of Defense
I'm curious: has any Defense nominee ever said that they would “put our men and women in uniform second”?
Just voted to confirm Pete Hegseth as our next @DeptofDefense Secretary.
— Shelley Moore Capito (@SenCapito) January 25, 2025
During my meeting with Pete, he made it clear to me that he will put our men and women in uniform first. I look forward to working closely with him to advance @POTUS’ Peace Through Strength agenda and…
Did he have any other qualifications, Senator? And would you have voted for him if a Democratic president had nominated him?
Pam Bondi for Attorney General
This one was a no-brainer -- I would have been willing to bet $51,000 that Capito would vote to confirm Bondi:
I was proud to vote to confirm Pam Bondi to serve as our next Attorney General, and I have no doubt that she will focus on the rule of law and restoring trust and respect back to @TheJusticeDept.

Senator Jim Justice
Robert Kennedy
Making America healthy:
.@RobertKennedyJr cares deeply about the well-being of Americans and wants to make sure Americans and West Virginians are living their healthiest lives.
— Senator Jim Justice (@JimJustice_WV) February 13, 2025
I’m proud to stand with President Trump and support Robert Kennedy Jr. and his mission to Make America Healthy Again.
(Quite an endorsement: Jim Justice, a picture of health, wants us to be healthy.)
Peter Hegseth
Congrats to our Secretary of Defense @PeteHegseth! It is clear Pete’s love for our country and our brave service members runs deep. President Trump tagged a TRUE America First leader to restore our military’s strength with pride and purpose. 🇺🇸

His statements on Pam Bondi and Tulsi Gabbard were just as predictable.
A conclusion?
Once again, Jim Justice demonstrated the kind of clichéd response we’ve come to expect from him. Come to think of it, I have a hunch that most of Justice’s time in the Senate (when he’s there) will be very predictable; his enthusiasm for the job is underwhelming.
On the other hand, Capito, is now the Trump Party’s head cheerleader in the Senate and if the longevity of Trump's picks in his previous administration is any predictor, there’s a good chance that one of Trump’s picks will be gone before summer arrives. If that happens, it will be interesting to watch Capito’s various gyrations in support of the Trump team. (Go Team!)
And as I was about to publish, I found this:

Not to worry; it's just more fake outrage from Shelley.
