Town hall update
Senator Manchin held a town hall in Berkeley Springs on Friday while McKinley and the rest of WV's Republican delegation are still zero-for-2017
Senator Manchin held a town hall in Berkeley Springs on Friday
From the Associated Press:
U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin told West Virginia voters that the nation's biggest threat comes from unaddressed, excessive spending.
The Democratic senator held a town hall meeting Friday in Berkeley Springs, where he responded to a number of questions from voters on topics that included health care, gun rights and opioid treatment, The Journal of Martinsburg reported.
Meanwhile, Representative McKinley met with a group of rural letter carriers and West Virginians for Life
McKinley met with both groups on October 21.
McKinley claims that he no longer holds town halls because of "security fears." If you go to his Facebook page, you will find a number of pictures of McKinley addressing audiences in circumstances where the "security" is minimal at best. The "security fears" excuse is obviously bogus: he simply doesn't want questions that may put him on the spot or worse, put him on the record.
