More disdain for its readers
Today’s Wheeling Intelligencer runs the same old Ohio editorial that it ran on March 7
I joked about it yesterday, but today’s paper runs yet another tired and meaningless Ohio editorial:
Improving Life Expectancy
This editorial appears to have originated in the Marietta Times five weeks ago:
Overcome life expectancy statistic; take care of yourself
If today's editorial looks familiar, this is the second time this editorial has run in the Wheeling Intelligencer; the same editorial (with a different title) appeared on March 7:
Improve Ohio’s Health
I’m sure it doesn’t matter to the local editor, but it probably wasn’t read by Wheeling readers then, either. What matters is that it takes up space.
Wheeling readers should look forward to more hard-hitting Ohio/Intelligencer editorials. Can these be far behind?
Ohioans Need to Look Both Ways Before Crossing Streets
And:
Ohio Should Work Harder on (fill in the blank)
And, of course in May, the old chestnut:
Ohioans Need to Vote on Election Day
What a terrible newspaper.
