Does this look like a town hall meeting to you?
Great hearing from substance abuse prevention professionals from Harrison and Ohio Counties. Thank you for all you do to help fight the opioid epidemic. pic.twitter.com/ShFQusotpP

I was surprised earlier today when I read the following in WV MetroNews:
McKinley said constituents at a recent town hall event voiced concerns about the lack of efforts by the federal government to address the drug epidemic.
Our representative had held a town hall meeting!? And there was no coverage? I googled it, searched all over, yet found nothing. Finally I went to McKinley's Facebook page where he or one of his aides posts everything he does. The only recent posting that dealt with the drug epidemic had the above picture and caption.
Sorry, congressman, talking to a couple of substance abuse health professionals may be a good thing but it does not count as a town hall.
I may be wrong on this -- maybe the congressman did hold an unpublicized town hall meeting for his constituents. If so, would someone from McKinley's office please contact me on this -- I will print an immediate correction. Also let me know about any future town halls -- I'll gladly publicize them. My hunch is that my readers have a few questions for the congressman.
