One of my regular stops in looking for material for the blog is Politico's "Morning Energy" (or ME as it refers to itself). On a daily basis, the site carries relevant news as well as interesting rumors and gossip that deal with the politics of energy in the U.S. This morning's ME carried the following:
ME FIRST: MCKINLEY FOR EPA ADMIN? Count Rep. David McKinley (R-W.Va.), one of the strictest regulatory critics of the Obama EPA, as interested in leading the agency. The ideal EPA administrator is “someone that understands the process and does not have an agenda to do away with the agency — I think we need an EPA — but I think someone who comes from more of a business background who understands there has to be balance,” he tells ME. McKinley sees those traits in his background and has expressed his interest.
From the description, it certainly appears that McKinley is self-promoting and for what's it's worth (but who really knows with Trump), McKinley is not among those being discussed by other news sources.
Yes, let's have Sarah Palin head the Department of the Interior and put David McKinley in at the EPA. What could possibly go wrong?
