Club for Growth to air commercials attacking Representative McKinley starting tomorrow
What have you done for us lately, David?
The National Journal is reporting that the Club for Growth (which has ties to the Koch brothers) will be sponsoring negative TV ads attacking Representative David McKinley starting tomorrow in WV's First Congressional District:
The conservative Club for Growth will launch a new round of TV and digital ads targeting four Republican lawmakers for supporting the Export-Import Bank, exposing the tension between the pro-business and tea-party wings of the party.
The ads will begin Friday in the home districts of Reps. David McKinley of West Virginia, Rob Bishop and Chris Stewart of Utah, and Bill Shuster of Pennsylvania, a spokesman for the group said Wednesday.
The article explains that the ads are tailored for each individual representative. How then will they attack David McKinley? In a guilt-by-association that should make our local "newspaper" editors envious, the Journal reports that
(i)n West Virginia, the Club said McKinley supported a program backed by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Oh, the irony!
