I have a few suggestions, Governor
WV governor Jim Justice objects to the word “bailout” being used to describe the recently passed FirstEnergy legislation
From Charleston Gazette-Mail reporter Phil Kabler:
At bill signing for $12.5 million/year tax break for FirstEnergy power station, Gov. Jim Justice objects to Gazette-Mail headline that referred to the legislation as a bailout: "That drives people away from West Virginia. It hurts us."

Justice is referring to two G-M articles about the power station that used “bailout” in its headline.
The Google dictionary defines “bailout” as “an act of giving financial assistance to a failing business or economy to save it from collapse.” The governor may have a point – here are a few words that I think better describe the legislative action: giveaway, rip off, fraud, swindle, and boondoggle – I’m sure readers can provide additional descriptors. (Note – Ogden papers called it “a tax break.”)
Hat tip to a tweet from local delegate Shawn Fluharty.
