“Hey, we stole those seats fair and square”
Senator Capito warns Democrats to not even think about adding more Supreme Court seats
From local station WTRF:
West Virginia’s U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito said she plans on voting for Judge Barrett’s confirmation.
Ahead of that vote, Senator Capito joined her Republican colleagues to warn of a court packing plan.
She along with Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Steve Daines (R-MT), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Ben Sasse (R-NE), and Thom Tillis (R-NC) for a press conference Thursday to discuss the issue.
Democrats disagree:
“If they keep their promise and let the American public decide, the composition of the court question doesn’t even come up,” Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, said.
Kaine says Republicans are violating their commitment not to vote a Supreme Court nominee in during an election year.
To Kaine's point, here is what Senator Capito said four years ago:

Other Capito notes
Our local “newspapers” continue to ignore Capito’s opponent in next month’s election. In the last month, Ogden papers have devoted at least some space to all major Democratic candidates except for Capito’s Democratic opponent, Paula Jean Swearingen, who they have not mentioned since the day after the WV primary election when they noted that she had won the Democratic nomination.
Capito may now be Ogden’s favorite “favorite.”
Contrasting WV's stenographers with this reporter from New Zealand
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you’re probably aware of my ongoing complaint about West Virginia’s media (not just Ogden) total unwillingness to ever challenge Capito on anything. Contrast West Virginia media with this reporter in New Zealand:
