WV Governor Jim Justice vows he will get tough with demonstrators if needed
Also wins kiss-ass award
President Trump held a phone conversation with the nation’s governors earlier today. From WV Metro News:
During that call, the president told the governors that to deal with protests that have turned destructive they “have to get much tougher.”
“Most of you are weak,” Trump said, according to audio and multiple reports. “You have to arrest people.”
Trump continued, “You have to dominate. If you don’t dominate, you’re wasting your time. They’re going to run over you, and you’re going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate.”
Later at Justice’s press briefing, the governor responded:
West Virginia’s governor said he expects state residents would continue to demonstrate peacefully. But the governor alluded to the possibility that out-of-state agitators could prompt him to “call in the National Guard, and I would call them in a forceful way.”
Additionally, from reporter Helen Kennedy on Trump’s phone call with governors:
Gov of West Virginia wins the kiss ass award of the day. After Maine gov says she’s worried about Trump’s upcoming visit, Jim Justice volunteers that Trump should come visit WV because “you’re a hero here” and there won’t be any protests because “I’m not going to put up with it.”

Governor, not everyone considers him a hero.
