The Intelligencer shows more disdain for its readers: today's lead editorial is the same editorial that was published last Wednesday
Hey, but it takes-up space (and that's apparently all that matters)
In fairness to the editor, the first sentences was changed but the rest of today's lead editorial, "Help Hospitals Weather Storm," is exactly the same as last Wednesday's lead editorial, "Hospitals Face New Surge of Patients."
This is not an isolated incidence -- it is the third time in the last four months that our local Ogden newspapers have reposted an old editorial. In October, the Intelligencer republished the same editorial from August and in September the News-Register used a previously published editorial from 2019.
Yeah, it's laziness combined with a contempt for its readers.
Front-page quick takes
I'm sure I was not the only reader who saw a connection between
Capito, Others Argue Against Mandate
and
Hospitals See More COVID-19 Patients
Additionally, the paper has apparently found a temporary replacement for the bridge pictures which routinely took-up lots of front-page space for the past two years. Today, two pictures of Oglebay Park ski equipment covered better than half of the front page.
