Partisan and pathetic
Wheeling “newspapers” totally ignore Trump’s verbal assault on Christine Blasey Ford
On Tuesday night at a campaign rally in Mississippi, President Trump ridiculed Christine Blasey Ford who accused Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. The major media covered the story extensively. One of the earliest reports from the Associated Press headlined it this way:
In Mississippi, Trump mocks Ford’s claims against Kavanaugh
The AP updated the story several times on Wednesday often including the mostly negative reaction to the President’s personal attack. For instance, here’s the AP story on Republican reaction to Trump’s speech:
Trump’s mockery of Blasey Ford condemned by GOP senators
It has been two days since Trump's verbal assault. Has either the Wheeling Intelligencer or the Wheeling News-Register mentioned Trump’s attack in any form? No. However, this afternoon’s paper did include the following op-ed from Elgine McArdle, Chairwomen of the Ohio County Republican Party:
Democrats Engaging in Vicious, Mindless Attacks on Kavanaugh
Yes, partisan and pathetic.
