More Republican fake news
This evening, Twitter took down a video by the Trump War Room that took a sentence from Biden's speech earlier today out of context. Media Matters' president describes the original video:
#1) Biden was saying Trump was full of shit when he claims you wouldn't be safe in Biden's America. Trump campaign cuts it mid sentence to do this.

#2) This isn't normal political spin. It's straight up disinformation. Stop messing around. Ban this dangerous deceitful account. pic.twitter.com/8rfO91HMGQ
The Hill explained:
Twitter flagged a short clip tweeted by the Trump campaign of a brief segment of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s speech Monday as “manipulated media.”
The campaign tweeted a 3-second clip of Biden saying, “You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” that was clipped to separate it from the line before where Biden clearly stated that he was quoting the message the Trump campaign has been pushing.
“Since they can’t run on the simple proposition of sending our children safely back to school. And since they have no agenda or vision for a second term, Trump and Pence are running on this: ‘You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,’” Biden said during his speech delivered in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
The creator of this video, White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, has been busy. Yesterday, Scavino posted a video that supposedly showed Joe Biden falling asleep during a TV interview. From Huffington Post:
A video manipulated to make it appear as if Joe Biden were sleeping during a TV interview is being condemned by, of all people, Harry Belafonte.
White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino posted a faked video Sunday night on Twitter that showed the former vice president appearing to be sound asleep and snoring as an interview was set to begin.
However, the video is faked, with Biden’s face digitally place on Belafonte’s body, according to CBS Sacramento anchor John Dabkovich, who said he was in the studio when the interview took place.
(This video was also taken down.)
Finally, Snopes asked this question about last week's Republican Convention:
Did RNC Video Depict Rioting in ‘Biden’s America’ Using Barcelona Footage?
Here was their answer:
✅ True. The fire actually occurred in October 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. https://t.co/fHAyAaprR4

How many people have seen these and believed they were true? A question: are Democrats guilty of similar actions? I haven't seen any. If you see one, please pass it along to me. Fake news needs to be called out regardless of the benefactors.
