More Mac Warner moments
How is this in any way related to the official business of the State of West Virginia?
On the top of the page of the WV Secretary of State’s “News” page:
Mac Warner’s piece is about Islamic fundamentalism, and it has nothing to do with the WV Secretary of State’s Office. Will any WV media take Warner to task for his totally inappropriate use of governmental space? (On the contrary, Ogden Newspapers may run the piece as an op-ed.)
I’m sure these online platforms are shaking in their boots!
Right below Mac Warner’s attack on Islamic fundamentalism on the Secretary of State's web page is an official warning from Warner to online community platforms to “be fair, or be subject to WV Campaign Finance Laws.”
Warner tells online platforms: be fair, or be subject to WV Campaign Finance Laws
This got covered by right wing media. For example:
In a letter today sent to five of the country’s largest online platforms, WV Secretary of State Mac Warner issued an advisory cautioning the companies to avoid procedures or policies that do not treat candidates fairly and equally. https://t.co/xZg36QnqLs

(Obviously, they will need to tell the truth about Hunter Biden or face the consequences.)
The Ogden favorite
Here’s the top half of the front page of yesterday’s Wheeling Intelligencer:
Despite the size of the picture, Warner is not the organizer of the forum on human trafficking, he’s a speaker. (Third Circuit Judge Tim Sweeney is the organizer.) Additionally, the event is scheduled for November 7 and will not take place in Wheeling but rather at St. Mary’s High School, 61 miles south of Wheeling. (I’m sure lots of locals will attend.)
As the size of the picture and its forward placement on yesterday’s front page suggests, it’s good to be an Ogden favorite. It’s also nice that the story was written by Steven Allen Adams whose previous job was doing public relations for Warner. (Since he’s never disclosed it in a Warner article, perhaps that’s still his job. See here, for another example.)
Last week’s Ogden interview
On weekends, Ogden’s political reporter (Steven Allen Adams, again), interviews a Republican candidate for governor and last weekend was Warner’s turn. It was 2,200 predictable words with no questions about Warner’s frequent claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged or Warner’s attendance at the far, far right hootenanny in Las Vegas on Labor Day weekend.
