How many Manchin-Morrisey debates will there be?
The answer depends upon whom you ask
The media have been reporting two
All the reports that I have previously read suggest two: October 14 in Wheeling and November 1 in Morgantown
Today, Republican candidate Patrick Morrisey says three
NEWS: I'm excited to have accepted three statewide debates. Liberal Joe Manchin needs to answer for his record of partnering with Obama to restrict gun rights, voting for Hillary despite her pledge to put coal miners out of work, & siding with DC liberals to oppose Trump. #WVsen

Metro News is currently reporting that we are down to one debate in Morgantown
Reporter Alex Thomas reported earlier today:
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A newspaper-sponsored debate between U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin and state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey won’t happen as scheduled because the Morrisey campaign did not confirm his participation.
The debate — which was sponsored by HD Media, NCWV Media and Ogden Newspapers — was scheduled for Oct. 14 in Wheeling.
According to NCWV Media, the Morrisey campaign received an invitation to participate on Aug. 16. After a month without committing, debate organizers set a hard deadline of 4 p.m. Thursday for the campaign to respond.
Could it be that the Morrisey campaign realizes that a debate requires ideas -- that it consists of more than just saying/tweeting the words Trump, Obama, Hillary, guns, liberals, and coal over and over again?
Just a hunch – there may be more to this story.
