Sounding a lot like Tucker Carlson, Riley Moore praises white nationalism
Earlier this month, WV2's congressional representative, Riley Moore, called out Great Britain’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, for not standing up for his heritage:
Hey @Keir_Starmer, I believe western civilization is under threat from mass migration and a lack of integration by certain ethnic & cultural groups.
— Rep. Riley M. Moore (@RepRileyMoore) June 7, 2025
I also think western civilization is under threat from leaders like you who hate your heritage and are ashamed of your ancestors. pic.twitter.com/PmxJui0bhU
Very interesting. Note that Moore used his congressional account rather than his personal account to respond. My hunch is that this was deliberate because it calls attention to his response; this wasn’t just any “Riley Moore” - this was a U.S. congressman expressing solidarity with those who believe that white Christians are under siege from the underdeveloped (i.e. non-white) world. And if attention was what Moore was looking for, he has certainly received it: as of 8:00 PM this evening, his response has attracted over 670,000 views and 1,400 responses.
I can only speculate as to why Riley Moore would go out of his way to publicly attack the British Prime Minister. It certainly would appear that Moore wants to publicly demonstrate his allegiance to white nationalism. The larger question for me is that, like his support for an antisemitic broadcaster, why has this not been mentioned by any West Virginia media?
Moore on PBS funding
From Ogden’s political reporter, Steven Allen Adams:
A recission package passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday could cut direct funding to the CPB if the U.S. Senate concurs, but U.S. Rep. Riley Moore said it should not affect any funding already received by WV Public Broadcasting.https://t.co/FGln1pXba6

Unfortunately, this was the headline in Ogden’s Parkersburg News and Sentinel:
Rep. Moore: Bill should not affect West Virginia Public Broadcasting
But it does. The Adams’ article quotes Moore:
”This bill targets direct federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which finances and promotes a radical progressive agenda.”
Of course, this is, as Mountain State Spotlight has pointed out, a part of the Republican plan that Moore is backing (see note):
NEW: DOGE cuts would hurt West Virginians. Riley Moore is working to make them permanent. https://t.co/8ilokwCWw4

*Note -- If you actually read the Adams article, money for the CPB will be cut -- what will not be affected by budget cuts, according to Moore, is the money that public broadcasting has already received. For Wheeling readers, yesterday’s Intelligencer did a better job with a different headline for the same article (although I don’t think readers necessarily know what a “clawback” is):
Moore: Clawback of CPB Funding Will Not Affect W.Va. Public Broadcasting
