Breaking news: Senator Joe Manchin announces he has left the Democratic Party
(I need to pay closer attention to the news -- I thought he did this years ago!)

An interesting move given the previous speculation that had it that the Democratic candidate for governor, Steve Williams, would step aside to be replaced by Manchin. But on Wednesday, Manchin told the Huntington Dispatch that he fully supports the Williams candidacy.
