Blame Biden for everything!
A look at the Twitter account of West Virginia’s Trump Party
Job creation
The WV GOP regularly tweets about President Biden’s handling of the economy. In particular, they especially like to criticize his job creation numbers:
CNN On Jobs Report: “Way Less, Way Less Than Anybody Expected…Worst Of The Year”https://t.co/48NcCR8Ahh
— WVGOP (@WVGOP) October 10, 2021
And here is another one:
The August Job's Report was an unbelievable disaster! https://t.co/j4mv0qKVjy
— WVGOP (@WVGOP) September 9, 2021
However, it turns out that those numbers were in error. Earlier today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics admitted that they made the largest miscalculation in their history:
Bureau of Labor Statistics says it underestimated June-Sept job growth by 626,000 jobs, the largest underestimate in BLS history - https://t.co/NhVL9aGg42

I’m sure the WV GOP will note their error and issue a correction because they would never want to mislead the public on Joe Biden.
Pink slips
Here is what is at the top of the WV GOP’s Twitter page as I write this:
"Biden seems more interested in handing out pink slips than in getting people vaccinated."https://t.co/XUK3QNFH79

Over the last year, I’ve written a number of posts that correlate Republican and Trump-voting states with higher death rates from the virus. Here is the most recent from Phillip Bump at the Washington Post:
The death toll was worse in more-Republican parts of the country even before the vaccine but the gap widened since the vaccine — including within the region hardest hit by the fourth wave. https://t.co/Gx3IvP0m1s pic.twitter.com/QnSNM4ssnG
— Philip Bump (@pbump) November 9, 2021
Bump's conclusion:
The pandemic is partisan, as it has been for more than a year. But that partisanship has only grown increasingly deadly.
Bump's conclusion matches those of similar studies. Why does the GOP want to kill its own followers?
