Addressing the West Virginia child care crisis
WV governor Jim Justice and Donald Trump demonstrate their leadership on the issue
From the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy:
West Virginia’s per capita state spending on child care lags behind all our neighboring states. This has contributed to low wages and high turnover in the child care industry. pic.twitter.com/mJu3aoYuor

And here is the WV governor’s response:
Justice virtual briefing: Justice says affordability and access to child care in the state is a "major problem," but adds, "I don't know what exactly we're going to be able to accomplish in West Virginia."

So what does the Governor plan to do about it? How about a special session to address this problem? Of course, not – but we could call one to have the legislature cut more taxes to make the Justice look better:
We’ve already seen monumental tax cuts in West Virginia, and I’m urging lawmakers to consider another in our upcoming special session. We’ve slashed the personal income tax twice & we need to keep going. Getting rid of our income tax is the best way to bring more goodness to WV. pic.twitter.com/h8Jxky2ieL

In case you were wondering -- researchers have now discovered where the WV Trump Party gets its guidance on child care -- from the leader of the Party, himself. See if you can make any sense of this:
