The Wheeling Alternative
Gas prices and Senator Shelley Moore Capito
It’s all Bidens fault!
Energy company profits
Yes, profits, profits, and more profits:
. . .Shell, Exxon, and Chevron have raked in $104 BILLION in profits so far this year.

That’s more than TRIPLE last year’s profits.

With 2500 more Wheeling Intelligencer words on the Ohio senate race, West Virginians should be well-informed and ready-to-vote
Except . . . .
Last week, the Wheeling (WV) Intelligencer provided us with 800 words on the views of the Ohio Republican candidates for senate, JD Vance, and the Democratic candidate, Tim Ryan. (Additionally, the paper also published 1,800 words on the Ohio gubernatorial race.) Yesterday’s paper gave us 2,500 more words on the Vance/Ryan contest. That’s . . .
Yesterday and today, the Wheeling Intelligencer devoted almost 5,000 words to cover two important elections
Unfortunately for West Virginians, the races are in Ohio
Today’s Wheeling (West Virginia) Intelligencer dedicated over 1800 words to the Ohio governor’s race and almost 800 words to the battle for Ohio’s senate seat. As a recovering addict, i know how difficult it is tto be in the grips of drug addiction.
As a Dad, i know how helpless Joe Biden must have felt, but his love is unquestioned.
As a human, . . .

What’s up with West Virginia’s senators?
“Common ground” Joe and Shelley the distinguished lecturer
Senator Manchin keeps looking for common ground and bipartisanship with Republicans. Don’t look now, Senator, but you’ve become the common ground
From the Economist:
It is said that a common enemy unites even the oldest of foes. For Republicans and Democrats that would be Joe Manchin. The senator from West Virginia received the . . .

Answer: a large picture of a tractor, a WVU press release, yet another Ohio editorial along with one admonishing us to take driving seriously, and a syndicated columnist on why Giorgia Meloni is not a fascist
Question: What's in the morning paper?
The front page
Half the page is taken up by a story with two pictures of the upcoming Oglebayfest. (A picture of a park tractor takes up a fourth of the page.)
Also on the front page is something from ”staff reports” that is actually a word-for-word PR release from West Virginia University detailing President E. Gordon Gee’s . . .
